I really enjoyed getting feedback last time. I got good advice like to be more dynamic and don't look so worried, and to not have the camera so close to me. All good advice I have tried to incorporate this time around. I have done that by being more dynamic, having a wider camera angle, and trying to have a bit of fun with it and not have it feel to rehearsed.
Hey Jordan, this is a really cool idea. I've waited in awfully long advising lines before only to be told I was at the wrong building. It would be really nice to have an app like this. I think it would be a good idea not to jump in your elevator pitch but it's definitely good that you're more dynamic. Feel free to check out my idea for a textbook exchange app called TextSwap here:http://matthewent3003.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteHey jordan, as soon as the app is running please let me know so i can download because god knows that would be the most convenient thing ever. I have some questions though? would it be aimed at phasing out a physical advisor entirely or would it be a supplement to advisors and while on the go you can skype or FaceTime with them for additional questions guidance?

Jordan, I love the idea of this app. Here at UF advising is a huge problem with students having to wait in long lines and sometimes not even getting to see the advisor in general. I know I have personally showed up to an advising hours and even thought it was only 30 minutes after they opened, they had enough people there that they were not letting anyone else wait. I also thought your elevator pitch was good but maybe be a little more dynamic. My elevator pitch is here: http://lgator.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
ReplyDeleteHi Jordan! I watched your last elevator pitch and you've definitely made some major improvements. You did a great job being more relaxed and the camera angle made the video less distracting. I think you have a great idea and there is a big problem with UF advising. Nice job!

I really enjoyed watching your video! I loved your expressions, and I loved how comfortable you seemed in front of the camera--at least I hope you were comfortable, because you rocked it.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very cool experience to see.
